At the New York Bartending School of Long Island you learn all the classic, trendy and signature drinks served in today's popular bars, and master the speed skills that able you to work in any busy lounge or club, along with good customer service and up-selling skills to increase sales and tips! We don't spend unnecessary time teaching you drinks that will never be ordered! The course also includes a comprehensive Spirit & Liqueur Seminar; a Wine Seminar (wine knowledge is a MUST for the bartender of today); beer styles, how to tap a keg and pour a pint, POS/micros system, providing our students with real cash register training.
The speed test to graduate at the New York Bartending School is 20 drinks in under 6 minutes. At most bartending schools it is 12 drinks in 7 or 10 minutes. We want our graduates to have the speed and efficiency to work in the busiest of bars in New York hence our rigid speed drills. Don't worry though, we make the speed drills a lot of fun, and remember you can practice as much as you want and take the course and the test as many times as is needed, we do not want anyone to leave the New York Bartending School until they are totally confident in their bartending skills. If anyone requires assistance our instructors are always available to provide some one-on-one attention.
